Scholarships
The World Organization of Webmasters is putting its money where its mouth is.
In order to provide ongoing educational opportunities for Web educators and trainers at an affordable price, WOW, is offering its $3,900 training package for only $500.
This limited-time offer for K-12, community college and university educators includes:
- An instructor-led online course for Webmaster training
- A WOW exam
- Upon successful completion of the WOW exam, examinees and schools they represent will be designated as WOW Academies (providing the institutions with a full scholarship for curriculum site license, on-site testing and proctoring of the WOW certification exams)
- Scholarships to WOW events
A large part of WOW's mission is to provide the highest quality and the most affordable Web professional education and training to instructors who teach Web design and development.
To that end, WOW will continue to provide training and certification that is either deeply discounted or fully subsidized by WOW, the U.S. Government via grants and by the generous contribution from WOW Corporate sponsors.
Through July of 2005, WOW, working with its industry partners, provided more than a quarter of a million dollars in scholarships for training and certification to high school and college educators. WOW not only will continue this tradition, but will work to increase it.
WOW recognizes that as a result of the federal "No Child Left Behind Act," many teachers and instructors in public education are required to upgrade their skills, yet have limited access to funds.
To take advantage of the savings and this limited time opportunity please contact Robert Luster, WOW Scholarship Coordinator, at robert@joinwow.org
