As a high school Web technology teacher, I want my students to have the most up-to-date and complete information they can to help them either find a job as a Web professional or continue their education at the community college or university level. As it stands now, there is no path they can follow to earn a higher degree.
I am excited about the WOW articulation initiative because I believe it will solve that problem. I see many talented youngsters in my classes who want to continue on as Web professionals. Now, all I can tell them is to seek out individual classes at a community college and learn all they can. With a Web professional path in place, I can better direct them to the career of their choice.
I hope more teachers will get involved and help us prepare these students for the future.
