WOW Announces 2004 Distinguished Web Professional of the Year Award Winners
FOLSOM, CA. -- The World Organization of Webmasters (WOW) has named the winners of its 2004 Distinguished Web Professional of the Year Awards, given to honor extraordinary service to Web professional education overall, service benefiting the field of the Web profession.
The award winners are:
- Mark DuBois, Associate Professor and WOW Certified Professional Web Designer and Developer, Illinois Central College
- Sandra LaFever, Associate Professor and WOW Certified Professional Web Designer, Joliet Junior College
- Rye Livingston, Manager of User groups and Professional Associations, Adobe Systems Inc.
- Kim Jacobus, WOW Certified Professional Webmaster and Web Designer, California Coast Credit Union
- Evelyn Zayas, President Learning Resources and WOW National Advisory Board Member
- In making the announcement, Bill Cullifer, WOW’s Executive Director had the following to say about the contributions of this years award winners:
Mark DuBois
"Over the past five years, no single individual has had a
greater impact on supporting WOW’s goal to promote the quality of
Web professional resources within higher education" "Mark continues
to seek ways to raise the quality of Web professional education in his region
and for Web professionals everywhere.”
Kim Jacobus

excellence. “Whether service to the WOW organization or to fellow
Web professionals, she has always strives for total quality within a framework
of being “enthusiastic and fun to be around."
Sandra LaFever
"The WOW organization commitment to secondary and post secondary education
is significantly stronger because of Sandra’s exceptional commitment,
knowledge, and service to WOW’s National Web Design Contest."
"Her willingness to give her time and talent has made her a role model
for students, and her fellow WOW members."
Rye Livingston

inception in 1996, a relationship personified by extraordinary individual
and corporate support for the Web professional community." “More
than any of his colleagues from industry Rye’s commitment to K12 and

Evelyn Zayas

in leading the charter of the WOW organization to elevate the level of professionalism
for Webmasters. Non profit professional associations are only as good as
the members who belong to them and Evelyn is as good as they get. Her commitment
